Baking Time

So E helped me make sugar cookies on Saturday night, she was a BIG helper and dumped in the ingredients and everything. So then Ty made us eggs Sunday morning and she must have been watching him like a hawk because while we were getting ready for church all of a sudden we hear crack, crack, crack, ewwwww. We ran to the kitchen where we found this....
I don't know how much of it was licked off of her hands but she got put into the tub very quickly while Ty cleaned it up and I tried to get egg out of her hair and everywhere else. What's funny is that the eggs were clear across the counter and we're still not sure how she got them from there to where she is in the pictures. I guess that's what we get for leaving stuff out and not putting it away after we cook!!!

I love getting FREE stuff, and Picture Me studios at Walmart in Cedar City has been awesome and since we've gotten so many pictures done with them I've started getting emails that offer free packages. We couldn't afford a Christmas time Family picture otherwise, and growing up that is always when we would get our family pictures taken. So here's the final product.

We went Trick or Treating with our good friend and her boys in our old neighborhood that we loved so much. E got the hang of it really quick as the littlest and the only girl, she'd push her way to the front grab a few pieces of candy and then let the boys go and then she'd go again. Every house we went to took pity on the little princess fairy and let her have what she wanted which was usually 3 or 4 extra pieces of candy. Here is our little fairy cheesin it up for the camera. And I'm sorry about the blurry ones, an almost 2 year old just won't sit still.

Sky View Marching Band

So E is officially a Sky View Marching Band cheerleader. We spent Friday night and all day Saturday in St. George watching Brenden and the Sky View High School Marching Band end Brenden's Senior Season off with a bang. They ROCKED the field Friday night and made top 10 in the Bands of America regional finals out of 32 bands where they then took 7th out of the 10. We're so proud of Brenden. E woo-hooed and danced and shouted Go, go, go sky biew go benden all night long on Saturday. Here's a pic of a sleepy little girl with her Uncle B.

The Mickey Waltz

So I've said over and over what a dancer E is and that she just can't help herself. Today, we decided on a no TV day and just had the radio playing in the background all day. Well E brought out her Mickey and Minnie dolls and she took each of Mickey's hands and started twirling all around the living room. It was pretty cute and of course I didn't get it on video right away, but I was able to get a little bit of it. So that's the first video, the next video is of E right after we watched the movie Alpha & Omega about wolves being relocated and finding their way home, etc. She decided that she was a wolf and would tip her head back and howl.

Flowers and Walks

So E and I took Mickey Mouse out for a walk in E's baby stroller Here's the video of part of it, she made it almost around the whole apartment complex before she had to "sit and catch her breath" It was pretty funny.

Also Ty came home from working in St. George all day to day and brought me flowers. I sure do LOVE my husband and appreciate all he does for us.

Potty Time!!!

So the last two weeks E has been doing the Potty Dance whenever she has to tinkle so we went out and got her a potty and some Minnie Mouse panties. We're starting slow and letting her sit on it when she wants to but I think that she's just about ready to be done with diapers Hooray!!!!

Half Marathon

On Saturday August 27, 2011 Tyler and I (Mande) ventured forth to complete the Top of Utah Half Marathon, after NOT training very well at all (we started off great and then it went kapooee after I hurt my foot the beginning of July). Tyler made it the full 13.1 miles and I made it 11 miles before the blisters on my feet got the best of me (I walked on them for 5 miles, next time I'll be prepared with moleskin) and I couldn't stand on them due to indescribable pain. Here are the pics that were taken that day.

We've Got a Missionary in the Family

So back on July 13 we took Zack to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) where he will be for 8 weeks learning the Spanish language after which he will be flying to the Mexico Tijuana mission where he will be for the next 2 years. Here are some pics from the day that we dropped him off.

We've been "MUNKED"

So we went and saw Cars 2 and laughed when they showed a preview for a new "Chipmunks" movie that said "get Munked." Yeah well we got "munked" all right. We woke up this morning to chattering through the baby monitor in Emma's room. We just figured it was a weird bird outside her window singing which is a common occurrence, but it was just too weird of a sound, so Ty got up to see what it was and came back into our bedroom and told me that we had a chipmunk in Emma's room. Now to explain where he came from. We went camping Wednesday and Thursday night for our 4Th anniversary and while packing everything back into the truck Friday morning we saw him jump up into the bed of the truck and thought he had jumped back out, but obviously not. We think he got caught in all the blankets and has been living in our house for 2 days without our knowing it. Emma and I got ready for church and left so Ty could try and catch him. After realizing that he could escape beneath Emma's door into the kitchen, he tried barricading the chipmunk into the kitchen but he ran back into Emma's room and hid in the closet. Ty had already emptied everything out of her room so he made a hiding spot for himself, stuffed clothes into the crack of the door so "Alvin" couldn't escape that way, and set up a bucket, rigged with a stick and string and peanuts. It took all three hours while we were at church but Tyler reigned victorious and caught the chipmunk just as we pulled into the house. Enjoy the pics of Ty's hideout, the trap and the "munk" in the bucket after getting caught. We did return him to the campsite that he lives at.

E love's shoes. She's worn my high heels, her grandma Gallup's dress shoes, and today her Daddy's dress shoes. She's just so stinkin' CUTE. I couldn't love her more.

THE GRAND CANYON(aka. the Big Hole in the Ground)

So we went to Kanab for Tyler's 2nd job and figured out that we were only 1 1/2 hours from the Grand Canyon, so what the heck, why not. We hiked up to an overlook and E flirted with everyone that passed her. She also didn't want to leave, she loved the wind that was blowing and the leaves, she even saw her first snake (freaked Mom out a bit) and laughed when her mom screamed. She also saw a chipmunk, Squirrel, and cattelo (a mix between cattle and buffalo).

Dancing Queen

I'm thinking I have a dancer on my hands, of course I knew this before she was even born seeing how if music was playing, my stomach was bouncing to the beat. It's the same way now. She hears music and can't help herself, it's ADORABLE. We watched a clogging group the other day (minus their clogging shoes to protect the floor) and she was trying to copy them. So we went and had Emma's Easter pics done yesterday and for the first time ever she was happy and cooperative and it was impossible to choose just one and the manager(we've had her take Emma's pictures twice now and she's fantastic) of Picture Me here in Walmart was able to get us a $100 package for $50.00 and that included a CD and 10 sheets. So since we have the CD I'm uploading some of our favorites.

Busy Lives

It's been 4 months since I last blogged but hey life got busy! Ty is still spending a lot of time on the road for his job but at least it's mainly between Cedar and St. George and usually Emma and I get to go with him. I'm watching Baby Cole for a friend in our ward and that allows me to stay at home with Emma which we're grateful for. I've included pics and video of Emma and then some of Emma with her new friend baby Cole.

We had the chance to go to Logan for the entire week before Christmas so we were able to celebrate her 1st birthday with Grandma Gallup, Aunt Randi, Grandpa and Grandma Adam's, and Uncles Jace, and Brenden just 3 days after her actual birthday. I've attached pics and videos of that fun night.

Emma's 1st birthday was yesterday and I can't believe how time has flown. Unfortunately she really didn't get to have too much of a birthday due to Ty having problems to deal with(a leaky roof) at one of his area accounts. We did have Ellen and Missy come over last night but by the time they came Emma was tired and cranky and ready for bed, sooooo....We're having a birthday party for her on Monday night at my Mom's when we get up to Logan for a long overdue well deserved vacation. We get to be up home with our families for an entire week this time and it's technically a company trip because we have to get Ty's work vehicle's windshield fixed so that helps us out financially a lot. Anyway I can't believe how fast this year has flown by. Emma is almost walking, she's been pulling her self up for the past month and for the past two weeks has been walking along everything she can reach. I love this little girl so much and can't imagine life without her she has been such a joy in both our lives. Happy Birthday Emma princess. Mom and Dad Love You Lots and Lots!!!!

Yikes, what a crazy two weeks, we got evicted last Tuesday finally signed on a new apartment last Wednesday night and had until Saturday evening to move a 3 bedroom apartment down to a two bedroom apartment, then this week for the Janitorial company that Ty is the manager of for their Southern Utah area and I am a janitor for as well, we had to clear all of our cleaning supplies out of 12 banks because the banks corporate office has decided to go with a different cleaning company (we don't think it will last long because this other company is not organized at all and have no idea what it is to work with this particular banking organization, cause it's a PAIN). In other words the past two weeks have been nothing but moving stuff and working our regular jobs on top of that. We were so glad to have this weekend come and to have it be General Conference. One the good side of being evicted, it's kicked us in the butt and we are monitoring our finances to the penny and we are back in our ward that we absolutely LOVED and now we have a yard that we can go and sit out side in without seeing who knows how many sun bathing think they are beauties running around in basically nothing. I will post pics of our cute little house as soon as we finish with the final touches of getting it put together. The following is just an all around funny video of Emma (9 months) and her Uncle Jace (2 yrs). Jace has had a hard time with her being able to sit by herself and was always trying to pull her down onto her tummy or her back when we were up in Logan 3 weeks ago.

While in Vernal we finally got to meet Ty's cousin Gwen's baby Alyx who is a month and three days younger than Emma, but was also something like 5 weeks early so is tiny compared to Em. They played nice after church on Sunday Sept. 12 until Alyx decided she wanted Emma's bottle and then after that they were trying to get a bag of toys away from each other, Emma discovered that Alyx had feet but they were covered in tights so Em tried to pull Alyx's feet off.

We went to Vernal for the Adams' Family Reunion that Ty's Aunt's Jackie, Dixie and Judy were in charge of. It was great!!! We met a lot of my Father-in-Law's cousins and their families which was neat. Iron County Fair 2010

So we decided to enter Emma into the Beautiful Baby Contest at the fair this year (by we I mean me). She didn't win but boy was she sure cute. And then we had a float in the fair parade on Labor Day for our Balloon Business and I walked the parade route passing out business cards and bead necklaces while Emma got pushed along in the stroller, I think we got stopped at least 3 times per block with people wanting to get a closer look at the "Adorable Baby" and we even heard a few people comment that they recognized her from the Baby contest and that she should have won with how cute she is. It kind of made my day, and our float turned out pretty cute too!

I was browsing through LDS.org today and found these two videos. One is the testimony Elder Jeffery R Holland gave in General Conference of the Book of Mormon and the other is clips of the Apostles of the Lord bearing witness that he does indeed live. It got me thinking about my own testimony and while I don't share it as often as I probably should I do have one. and I want everyone to know how grateful I am to my parents who taught me and raised me in the Gospel. I know I made some mistakes growing up and getting to the point at which I am now but I hope they know that it is because of what I was taught that I was able to be married in the temple to a wonderful husband and father. I do have a testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, I have no doubt that he does live and watches out for us. I see it in my everyday life. I love the Book of Mormon and everything that it does teach me along side the other standard works of Scripture as well as those Men that serve as the Apostles and Prophet of the Lord, I know that they have been ordained of God to lead his people in this day. I am grateful for my entire family, they teach us so much by their example even when they struggle to see this. I close this in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Crazy Summer!!!

Well, so far our summer has been crazy!! But at least it's a good crazy. Ty and I both have found jobs, I'm working at an Alltel dealer in the afternoons and then we both clean the Wells Fargo Banks and UPS at night, and Ty was given the position of Area Manager for down here for the cleaning company(American Building Maintanence or ABM for short) So I guess technically that makes him my boss. he he he he, or at least we'll pretend that's the way it is..... Anyway since I haven't posted for a month I thought I'd better get to it. I've included pics and videos of Emma having her first foods first Rice cereal and then a pic of her face cover in Peas, we've also tried Sweet Potatoes and she loves them all!!! Her new thing in the past week and a half has been to figure out how to blow raspberries so there are a couple of videos of that as well. There are also pics and a video from the 4th of July parade down here and then we went down to Tuacahn and saw Tarzan, it was amazing and Emma's eyes were glued to the stage 3/4 of the time(the rest of the time she was eating or sleeping) She even tried to sing along with the cast, it was pretty funny.

Happy Father's Day to an amazing husband and daddy. Ty, I love you so much and have loved every second of the last three years we've been married. You're a great example to me and to Emma along with everyone around you. We LOVE YOU!!!! Thank you also to my father in law who is truly an amazing man and I am so grateful that Ty is a lot like him. Dad Adams we love you and want to thank you so much for your example both as a father and now a grandfather. Emma couldn't ask for a better Grandpa! Also in remembrance of my own father who always tried to provide for our family even when he was hurting and in pain. We love you Daddy. Also thank you to our grandfathers who are just simply amazing and always on the go. We are very lucky to have such great examples in our lives. We went down to Hogle Zoo with the Adams' Family and it was a lot of fun to watch Jayce explore all the different animals, he especially liked the monkeys, and absolutely loved the Carousel. Here is a video of Jayce on the Carousel and many pics taken that day. The funniest part was on the train when Emma woke up and threw her pacifier off the train. I swear she did it on purpose.

Wow, this is my first Mother's Day as an actual Mom, I am so blessed to have a great and fabulous Husband who loves and adores me and our beautiful angel Emma. I wish Ty could be here with me today, but he's making a sacrifice in order to provide for our family. Currently he is in Temecula, CA with Tollev putting up all the woodwork in a new LDS church. Babysitting

So I'm a slacker in posting...Tyler brought Emma and myself up to Logan again 2 weeks ago so I could babysit for my mom's neighbors while they went to Key West. The boys ages 12 and 6 were so good and absolutely adorable with "Baby Emma" and were such good helpers and Emma loves them and always had a smile for them. Thank goodness Tyler's finals are over and now he's up in Logan with us so we can enjoy a few days with our families until we head back to Cedar City. Ok, so I know that Emma is only 3 1/2 months old for her first official Easter but....I couldn't help it, we found the cutest duck the other day at Walmart for only one $ and I told Ty that she needed something for Easter. The fact that she had been playing with it for about 3 days before the holiday has nothing to do with it. I made Ty wrap it up and then helped her tear the newspaper off of it, which once she had the paper in her had the tearing came quite naturally. She loves her duck, but especially loves to chew on Mr. Quacker's beak. On a more religious note...General Conference was as usual amazing and incredibly uplifting. I know Ty and I have been talking a lot about raising our family and then to have so many of the talks on that subject helped a ton. I am so greatful for my knowledge of the restored Gospel and that I have a testimony of the Resurrection of my Savior. We hope everyone had a great Conference weekend and a wonderful Easter.

Emma's Blessing

We blessed Emma on March 21, 2010 up in North Logan in Mom Gallup's ward. It was a special day that we were able to share with our family and our friends. Emma looked like a little angel and Tyler gave her such a beautiful blessing. We had a luncheon afterwards and thanks to Mom and Dad Adams we ate wonderful food.

So Ty came up to Logan on Valentine's weekend to see us!!!! Three weeks and counting until we get to go back home to Cedar City and stay with him down there. I have to get through babysitting for Mom's neighbors, but that should go pretty smoothly since their 6 year old has fallen in love with our little Princess. We watched him for an hour the other night here at Mom's and he just sat and held her and talked to her and boy was she cooing and smiling at him, it was so adorable. We also did Emma's first official photo shoot today at JCPenney's and they turned out so absolutely ADORABLE! I will post pics as soon as they are available.

So Emma and Mande are up in Logan, right now working for her Mom in the shop in order to help her get through Valentine's Day, which consists of balloon bokays and a dance to decorate at Sky View, and then she is going to be babysitting the neighbors boys for 10 days while they go on a cruise. It's been fun to hang out with Mom, and for us to get to take baby Emma over to Grandpa and Grandma Adams' as well, but it's no fun being away from my sweet husband and Emma misses her Daddy like crazy but coos at him every night over the phone for her Daddy time. So Emma's Umbilical cord finally fell off today and we got the ok from her Dr. (we took her in because she cries when she tries to pass gas, annd got told she has a minor case of colic) to go ahead and start giving her real baths!!!! She didn't like it very much except when I hold her head under running water to wash her hair and then she falls asleep. The other pics are after the bath once we got her calmed down and dressed.

Emma Mae Adams arrived into the world on Thursday December 17, 2009 at 7:11am weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz. And she is already spoiled rotten, but that's okay. Mom and baby are doing fine and were released from the hospital today(Sunday December 20).

Wow, as long as the past 9 months have been, I can't believe that by about 8am tomorrow morning we will have a baby!!! Scared? YES out of our minds, Excited? YES!!! Very much so. It'll also be good to have the families down for a while too. I'm so glad that the hospital decided to give us 4 visitor bands so that Ty's parents can come down and see the baby this weekend and of course my Mom and siblings will be here through Christmas so we don't have to have another holiday without at least one of our families. And then Shalise and the Adams' are coming down again after Christmas, so lots of family=lots of love for this new little addition. Hopefully the hospital has Wi-fi and Zachary will let me borrow his laptop so I can post pics in the next few days otherwise I'll post them when I get home from the hospital.

C-Section

So after a lot of thought and prayer on both my part and Tyler's and after meeting with the doctor today we decided not to try and have the baby turned and to go ahead and schedule a C-Section for around the 18th of December. When you don't feel right about something I've found that it is usually a good thing to follow that instinct so that's what we're doing.

Baby Week 30

So we just had our 30 week check-up and I'm keeping my gestational diabetes under control so I don't have to do the insulin thing!!!!. We also had another ultrasound to check the growth of the baby, and got another pic.

BLAH!!! So we spent 6 hours in Labor & Delivery yesterday because my ribs are KILLING me and because of how far along I am in the pregnancy the ER wouldn't see me. L&D says the baby is fine and her heartbeat sounds great, but me on the other had have managed to pull part of my ribs away from the cartlidge due to my waking up coughing thanks to acid reflux which I have now been told is pretty much just part of pregnancy. In addition to that I also have a bladder infection AGAIN. Which I am NOT happy about. They gave me four different prescriptions to take and I was told to just take it easy with my ribs. Hah! Don't they understand that people now days don't have time to "take it easy?" 28 Weeks down and 12 more to go(I'm hoping it's a little less than 12 weeks though)

Dad's been gone for one year today

It's truly amazing how fast time flies. It's been one year ago today that Ty and I got the phone call from my Mom around 5:45am, saying that my Dad had passed away. He is definately missed although there are always those bittersweet memories and moments that we all have. We know he is out of his misery that he has been in for such a long time, and yet it's hard to see how my Mom has struggled financially because of all the doctor's and hospital bills that have piled up. In the past year, I know I've felt my father looking over us, especially during the tough times, like when we miscarriaged last Thanksgiving, and then found out in April that we were expecting again. I think dad is up there along side our other loved ones who have gone on before us, getting our little one ready to come down to our home. WE LOVE YOU DADDY AND MISS YOU SO MUCH!

So we finally found out what we are having, of course they said they can't ever be 100 % on girls' but gave us a 90-95% chance that we are having a girl. What convinced us is that they were finally able to get a picture of the hip bones and there were no little boy parts, so right now we are planning on lots of Pink, which has everyone involved very excited!!!

Summer Balloon Camp 2009

So Ty, vowed when I signed him up to compete against Mom and I in the Table Centerpiece competition that he would beat us both (he didn't want to do it in the first place), He kept saying he was going to beat the CBA's (Certified Balloon Artist) in the family, and guess what he did!!!! He ended up getting 3rd place out of something like 9 different centerpiece entries. For those of you who don't quite understand how big of a deal this is, This was an international event with people from all over the world attending the Balloon Camp and entering competitions. So here is a pic of his Centerpiece as well as other pics from Summer Balloon Camp 2009, including some amazing pictures from the fashion show, these fashions are contstructed entirely of balloons!

20 weeks!!!!

So, 20 weeks pregnant and counting, Hopefully we will find out what the baby is come Friday and then right after the ultrasound Ty and I are headed to Vegas with my Mom to attend the big Summer Balloon Camp!!! We've been able to feel the baby move and it's been a pretty active thing this week so far. I've got it figured out that if I move into certain positions that it doesn't like it and tends to be a lot more active, but there are definately time of awakefulness and sleep for the baby, now if only we can keep up the same schedule once I have him/her because I may have a chance at actually getting some sleep, but I doubt it.

We're Having a Baby

So now that I'm past the point where I miscarried in November, and have officially made it 12 weeks I feel a lot more comfortable letting everyone know that we are expecting our first baby. This ultrasound was actually taken at about 10.5 weeks but we had our 12 week check-up yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat. It was so cool, we would hear a little flutter and then a thump of static everytime the Doctor managed to pinpoint the heartbeat and hold it there for a second. The Nurse and Doctor told us that the thumps of static were the baby kicking in response to being poked at. We are pretty excited, because with the first pregnancy we never had an ultrasound or got to hear the heartbeat(although we tried) and then I miscarried at about 10.5 weeks along, so the 12 week mark and almost being through the First Trimester is a big deal for both of us. Tyler has been so fantastic through all of this because the morning sickness has hit me pretty hard and then when I got the flu it all seemed to get worse, but I think I'm over the worst of it(cross our fingers). Oh, yeah and the baby is due December 27, 2009!!!

I HATE BEING SICK

So, I've decided that the flu, STINKS. I think I had it two weeks ago, but honestly thought it was just bad allergies until Ty started coming down with the same symptoms and he doesn't have allergies. And then I got it back again but twice as bad. The insta care doctor was pretty worried because I was so severely dehydrated and said if I got worse she was going to put me in the hospital. Luckily, I was able to stick it out at home and finally my fever broke Thursday morning and now it's just recovery time. I have NO energy and don't want to do anything. I've been off work for the week and am so ready to get back to work, our apartment is BORING when Ty is at work all day/night. Tomorrow is Memorial Day, and I wish we could be up in Logan to visit Dad and Brodie's graves with the rest of my family, but we are going up this next weekend for Zack and Monique's High School Graduation.

So to say we were missing our families would be an understatement, luckily Zach's Sky View Lacrosse Tournament in Vegas came just in time. Mom Gallup and Randi came down and we packed up and headed to Vegas for the weekend. We had a great time. Here's some pics of us at the Bellagio Water Show. Mom had never seen it before and thought it was pretty neat. Of course so did the rest of us!!!

I just had a D&C done, only 2 months after I miscarried. Now I know if heaven forbid we miscarry again, I am having a D&C done ASAP, none of this sitting around waiting for it to all end. It was of course partly my own fault because I hadn't been back into the doctor for a month but still....I am so happy to be finally feeling more active and more like myself. I've joined Curves and love it, it's a great place to go to workout and not get judged.

December is Finally Here

The last half of this year has been rough for us. My dad passed away on September 5 after a month in and out of the ICU at McayDee Medical Center in Ogden Utah. The a month later we found out that we were expecting our first baby, we were thrilled. Of course bad things always happen in 3s (dad got life-flighted to Ogden, then he passed away). The Monday of Thanksgiving November 24 I started to miscarry the baby. So now we wait again until the time feels right again and the Lord will let us know when our precious little ones up playing with their Grandpa Dallas will be sent to our home. I have never been so very greatful for Tyler as I was the week of Thanksgiving, in addition to our fantastic ward down here in Cedar City and our friends and families. We don't know what we'd do without our life supports.
